Thank you for visiting the website of the Mongolian Consulate in Chicago.

Parliament and Government of Mongolia have been paying utmost attention to the issues of providing routine public services to and protecting the lawful rights of the citizens abroad. Whithin this policy framework, the decision to open the Consulate in Chicago was passed by the Parliament in 2021.

The Consulate’s jurisdiction covers 15 states: Arkanzas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kanzas, Lousiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Since opening of the Consulate in March 2022, the Consulate has been working towards providing timely consular services to Mongolian citizens residing in the U.S. states in the consular district and facilitating development of bilateral trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Promoting Mongolia and supporting the Mongolian diaspora comminity are also the areas the Consulate attaches highest priority. To advance this important goals, the Consulate will closely cooperate with community members, non-for-profit organizations and businesses.

Through the Consulate website, we will try to provide necessary information about the Consulate activities and about Mongolia. We welcome your inputs and proposals on further improving the Consulate activities and expanding Mongolia-US relations. Hope you would reach out to us with constructive proposals and ideas.
